Our frames are handmade, and undergo several rounds of finishing steps to create a unique look and feel. The current collection features safe and environmentally friendly milk paints. We typically use domestic poplar wood, which is one of the most sustainable types of wood. We use no sharp metal parts to assemble the frame.
The acrylic lens has excellent optical qualities and greater impact stability than glass. Because the lens is positioned at a small distance from the back of the frame, it has a floating appearance which draws extra attention to the artwork.
Our patented frames (U.S. Patent No. 8,484,873) are front-loading. There is no need to take the wooden base off the wall when changing artwork. Simply take the lens out, remove the small clips and you are ready for a new picture.
